In October 2022, Daz3d introduced its newest character generation, Genesis 9, and the new female flagship model, Victoria 9. The biggest change is reverting to a unisex base figure like the original Genesis. The character generations in between, Genesis 2, Genesis 3, Genesis 8 and Genesis 8.1, consisted of a female and a male base model. Daz claims that going back to a unisex model makes it easier for published artists (PAs) to create content for both females and males, i.e. a shirt would fit both. Another improvement, best visible with Victoria 9, are the facial expressions, whose strength can be adjusted with a slider. On the downside, the navel and the nipples are not included in the base character mesh, but need to be dialed-in as HD morphs. Both are, in my opinion, of lower quality than with Genesis 8 or Genesis 8.1. The HD morph for the nipples is a pyramid, you need to dial-in subdivision level to 3 or higher to make it look normal. Obviously, this impacts the render time
